EXECUTIVE SUMMARY FOR ACTION
CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: MAY 7, 1991
The City was notified by one of the officers of Wintz Companies that
Brockway Golf Club, Inc. merged with Wintz Companies. This merger resulted
in a corporate name change and a change in the officers and ownership
interests of Brockway Golf Club. When this occurs, it is necessary for
Council to approve the ownership, interest change and the change of
operating officers.
Council approval of the on sale ,and off sale 3.2 beer licenses issued to
Brockway Golf Club would be based upon George L. Wintz owning 100% of the
interest of Wintz Companies and being designated the manager or proprietor,
of Wintz Companies-dba Brockway Golf Club. Council consideration should
also be given to approving the new corporate officers: George L. Wintz,
President; Arnold I. Moss, Vice President; Julie McDonald, Secretary; and
Dennis Bierschbach, ,Treasurer.
The original applications listed Arnold Moss as President and Manager,
Thomas Wintz as 100% owner and Treasurer, and Julie McDonald as Secretary.
Police Chief Lyle Knutsen has advise me the record checks on George Wintz
and Dennis Bierschbach were favorable. (Records checks were not conducted
on Arnold Moss or Julie McDonald at this time because they were conducted
when the originalapplication was approved.)
It is my recommendation the change of ownership and operating officers of
the golf course be approved. Upon council approval an on -sale and off -
sale non -intoxicating liquor license will be issued to Wintz Companies,dba
Brockway Golf Club as the new licensee.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: APPROVE CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP AND CORPORATE OFFICERS
