The Dakota County Technical College has petitioned the City to amend the
Zoning Ordinance, to allow use of an electronic changeable message sign at
the technical college. This matter has been reviewed by the Planning
Commission over the past several months. At the March 12, 1991 Annual
Meeting the Commissionrecommended approval of a zoning text amendment to
allow the use and requested the City Council set a public hearing date.

Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment
Sign Provisions
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, the City Council of the City of Rosemount
will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, April 16, 1991 in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall, 2875 145th Street West,
beginning at 8:00 pm., or as soon thereafter as possible. The
purpose of the hearing is to consider amendments to Section 10
(Signs) of Ordinance B - City of Rosemount Zoning Ordinance, that
would allow electronic changeable message signs at post -secondary
educational institutions, and to clarify definition and
restrictions for the use of electronic changeable message signs.
Such persons as desire to be heard with reference to this matter
will be heard at this meeting.
