This item is a request for authorization to send 2 persons to Southwest
State University in Marshal, MN for a 2 -day fire school. Two persons will
be taking classes on the handling of compressed gases and the
extinguishment of flammable liquids. The classes are scheduled to be held
on September 21 and 22, 1991.
The cost for the 2 firefighters including tuition, lodging, meals and
transportation would be $140.00 each for a total of $280.00. Money has
been budgeted in the 1991 budget for this expense. It would come from
Account #101-42210-01-308.
The 2 persons who will attend this fire training school are Doug Stauffer
and Greg Smith.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Motion to authorize the fire department to spend $280.00 and send 2
persons to Marshal, MN for fire training school in September.
