In July, the Metropolitan Council reviewed and approved the City's Minor
Comprehensive Guide Plan Amendment pertaining the Solberg proposal to
relocate their business to a 10 acre parcel at the northeast corner of
Highway 52 and County Road 42. The property in Rosemount where their
current business is located has been sold to Koch Refinery. On this
proposed site, Solberg intends to build a office/repair shop building and
equipment storage yard. Solberg Aggregate has submitted a petition
requesting to rezone the property from Agricultural to General Industrial.
Planning Staff recommends that a public hearing be set to consider the
petition. The Public Hearing will be scheduled on October 1, 1991. The
Planning Commission will review the petition and make a recommendation to
the City Council at their September 24 Regular Meeting.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Set Public Hearing for Solberg Aggregate Company
Rezoning Petition for October 1, 1991 at 8:00 p.m.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, the City Council of the City of Rosemount
will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, October 1, 1991 in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall, 2875 145th Street West,
beginning at 8:00 p.m. or soon thereafter as possible.
The purpose of this hearing is to consider the L.H. Sowles Company
petition for an amendment to Ordinance B - City of Rosemount
zoning Ordinance, causing a rezoning from AG Agriculture to IG
General Industrial on the property legally described as follows:
A tract of land in the Southwest Quarter of the NW
Quarter (SW', of NW;) of Section 30, Township 115, Range
18, Dakota County, Minnesota, described as follows:
Commencing at a point on the south line of said Northwest
Quarter (NW,), 700.53 feet east of the southwest corner
thereof; thence north perpendicular to the last described
line, 50.0 feet to the actual point of beginning of the
land to be described. Thence continuing north on the
last described line, 832.25 feet; thence west 646.79 feet
to the easterly boundary of State Trunk Highway No. 56;
thence south 16 degrees, 31 minutes east along said
highway boundary 868.07 feet; thence east 400.0 feet to
the point of beginning.
The subject property consists of ten (10) acres of land
situated east of U.S. TH 52 and north of County Road 42.
Such persons as desire to be heard with reference to this item
will be heard at this meeting.
