This item is a request to spend approximately $780.00 to send 6 fire
fighters to various classes at the Duluth Sectional School. The classes
will be held on April 13 and 14, 1991. The 6 fire fighters would be
leaving on Friday evening attending class all day Saturday and Sunday and
returning late Sunday afternoon. They would be classes such as;
Innovations in the Fire Service, Rural Water Supply, Preparing for Incident
Command Objectives, Public Fire Education, Relief Association Workshop and
Auto Extrication. Hopefully after successful completion of the class,
these 6 persons will be able to return and pass on some of the knowledge to
the rest of the members of the fire department.
The members who are interested in attending are:

Scott Adrian
Ashley Kornovich
Greg Smith
Bob Turek
Bryan Burkhalter
Money for this expenditure has been budgeted in 1991. The $300.00
registration fees would be paid for out of Account #101-42210-01-437.
The $480.00 traveling expenses, which includes lodging for 2 nights and
meals would come out of Account #101-42210--01-331.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Motion by city council to allow the fire department to spend
approximately $780.00 to send 6 fire fighters to the Duluth Sectional
School in April.
COUNCIL ACTION:
Approved.
