As the Star City Designation Celebration is a one time event toward which many members of the Rosemount community have dedicated a great amount of time and effort, the Rosemount Star City Committee would like to make the celebration a very special one for everyone in attendance. The following are those costs which will not be covered by donations from Rosemount Star City Committee members: ESTIMATED EXPENSES: Rosemount Floral Express . . . . . . $50.00 Rosemount Star City Pins . . . . . . $60.00 Dinner for MN DTED Representatives $36.00 Color Programs . . . . . . . . . . . $100.00 Entertainment . . . . . . . . . . . . $200.00 TOTAL . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $446.00 DONATIONS: Rosemount Floral Express - $200 of services and decorations; entertainment arrangements Northern Dakota County Chambers of Commerce - Free event publicity; placed articles in local newspapers; produced and mailed invitations; will cover 50% of meal costs for those attending from the MN Department of Trade and Economic Development Rosemount Star City Committee - Decorations and banquet set up At this time, staff respectfully requests that the Rosemount City Council authorize an amount not to exceed $450.00 (from account #101-41110-01-598) as payment for a portion of the costs incurred for the Rosemount Star City Celebration. Staff will be present to answer any questions you may have regarding this request. Thank you for your consideration. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to authorize an amount not to exceed $450 (from account #101-41110-01-598) to be used as payment for the above listed costs for the Rosemount Star City Celebration. COUNCIL ACTION: Approved.
