A Public Hearing was held at the February 6th Council Mee�ing to
consider this item, however, no action was taken at that time •
because there were not four council m�mbers present�
Mr. Hans Abrahamsen has petitioned the City to rezone twa parcels
of land totaling around 110 aere� from AgricultuYe (AG) to
Agriculture Preserve AG-P (see attached map) . The properties in
question are located in Sectian 31, Range 18 - north of 160th
Street and east of Coates. -
Mr. Abrahamsen has also applied .to enroll the progerties in �
question into the Metropolitan Agricultural Preserves Frogram.
City Council has recently been provided with a copy of a report
from the Metropolitan Couneil which explains �his program. The
City requires that all properties enrollec� in the Agriculture
Preserves Program be rezoned to AG-F to �hsure that the �llbwed
development density of 1 home per 40 acre� i� not e���eaea.
The Planning Commissian at its January 23, 1990 meeting recommended
approval of the Hans Abrahamsen Rezoning Peti.ti,on to City Counc�l.
Enclosed with this review is a eopy of the required Ordinanee
Amendment which must be authorized by City Council.

CITY OF ROSEMOUNT ZQNING ORDINANCE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMOUNT, MINNESOTA ORDAINS AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No.B, adopted September 19, 1989, enUded "City of Rosemount
Zoning Ordinance," is hereby amended to rezone from Agriculture to Agricniture Preserve the
following described properties located within the City af Rosemount, Minnesota to-wit:
The Southwest Quarter (SW3d) of the Northeast Quarter (NF3d) of Section 31,
Township 115, Range 18, Dakota County, Minnesota.
The West Half (W'�) of the Southeast Quarter (SE34), except tbe east 579 feet of
the west 612 feet of the south 435.60 feet and except the south 510.6 feet lying
east of the west 6i2 feet thereof, subject to rarad over south SO feet of Section
31, Township 115, Range 18, Dakota Connty, Minnesota.
SECTION 2. The Zoning Map of the City of Rosemount referred to and deseribed in
said Ordinance No. B as that certain map entitled, "Zoning Map of the City of Rosemount,"
shall not be republished to show the aforesaid rezoning,but the Clerk shall appropriately mark
the said zoning map on file in the Clerk's affice for the purpose of indicadng the rezoning
hereinabove provided for in this Ordinance and all of the notation references and other
inEarmation shown thereon aze hereby incorporated by reference and made a part of this
Ordinattce.
� SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
publication aecording to law.
Enacted and ordained inko an Ordinance this 20th day of February, 1990.
