RE: Purchase Softballs For Adult Leagues
Softballs are purchased for use in the adult leagues by our office. A�
a part of the teams' league fees each team pays for ane dozen balls for
use in their games during the league schedule.
Quotes were requested from vendors for the balls based on a purchase of
100 dozen balls. The following is a list of the vendors and the quote
received:
D/S Sports no quote
Sports Heroes no quote
Kokesh $ 56.95 per dozen
Steichens Ath. $ 49.95 per dozen
Holiday P1us $ 47.52 per dozen
Holiday Plus only has 60 dozen balls remaining in stock at the pric�
quoted. For that reason we will be required to purchase the remaining
40 dozen balls from Steichen Athletic. at the slightly higher cost.
Council action requested is to authorise th� Recreation Dep�r�tn�nt to
purchase the balls for the summer adult leagues from Holiday Plus (60
dozen at $47.52 @) and Steichen Athletic (40 dozen at $49.95 @�.
NOTEs A11 balls other than those required for the department
tournament are included in league fees and the money
originally paid for the purchase from the vendor is recouped
from those league fees.
