This item consist of approving the promotion of obert Barfknecht to
fill the Maintenance Level II position that was left vacant when our
existing Level II left for re-training due to past injury. After
evaluating and testing al1 interested in-house personnel, the Public
Works Department is recommending promoting Mr. Barfknecht because he is
most qualified to fulfill the job requirements.
I recommend starting Mr. Barfknecht at the current Step A wage for Level
II, which currently is $11.70/hr.
REGOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to approve the promotion of Robert Barfknecht
to Maintenance Level II at Step A wage, and authorize the Public Works
Director to fill the Maintenance Level I vacancy.
