SPECIAL MEETING
APRIL 30� 1990
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a Special Meeting of the City
Counci�. of the City of Rosemount was duly held on Monday, April 30, 1990,
at 7:00 p.m, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall.
Mayor Napper called the meeting to order with Council Members Wiilcox,
Wippermann, and Klassen present. Council Member Oxborough was absent.
Mayor Napper led the audience in the Pledged of Allegiance.
Mayor Napper welcomed those in attendance at the 5tate of the City and Open
House and thanked everyone for attending. Mayor Napper introduced the
Council Members.
The Mayor reviewed the process begun approximately two years ago to gather
community input from residents as part of the decision making process to
establish goals and ob�ectives £or the community. Other facets of the
input gathering process included two Town Meetings, a citizen attitude
survey, establishment of a citizens advisory committee and input fram the
U�ban Design Team frorn the Univ�ars�.ty of Minnesata. Mayor Napper �a��.�ea
in January, 1990, the City Couneil held a speeial work session for the
purpose of utilizing all the input gathered and thoughts and ideas o£ the
Council Members and Staff to establish a working set of goals and
objectives to set the course for the Rosemount community for 1990 and
beyond.
City Administrator Stephan Jilk reviewed the thirteen specific goals and
strategies established at the work session by Gouncil and Staff Members.
The admini.strator commented on each of the goals and answered general
qusstions £rom the audience. City Administrator �i1k also presen�ed othe�
issues Council and Staf� felt should be reviewed and monitored.
Mayor Napper thanked everyone for attending and invited all to have some
refreshments and taur ci��r hall.
MOTION by Wipperrnann to adjourn. SEC�ND by Klassen. Ayes: 4. Nays: 0.
