RE: Authorization for Expenditure - Hose Nozzles

1 3/4" s3ze l�ose . This size hose i� cagable of delivering high
uolumes of water and also capable a£ being used as attack lines.
This combination use of the same hc�se line is made possible by
using mid-range automatic nqzzles. At the present time , we do
not have any mid-range automa�ic nozz].es at the fire department.
We would request authoriza�ion to purc�ase 2 of t�es� mid-range
automatic no�zles . We wt�uld like tv purchase Akron Mid-Rar�ge
Automatic Nozzle, Sty1e No. 5021 at � cr�st of $419.OQ/each f�t�m
Minnesota Canway Fire and Safety. Attached, pleas� find bid�
from Minnesota Conway and Clarey' s Safety Equipment. Orze reason
we ehose thi� pa�rtzcular 'make, although nat �he cheapest bid, i� �
because it is the make w� have been using and hav� beeti happy
with.
The total expenditure for' the 2 nazzl�s would be $838.00.
