Approve 1991 Utility RatesCITY OF ROSEMOUNT EXECUTIVE SUMMARY FOR ACTION CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: December 18, 1990 AGENDA ITEM: 1991 Water & Sewer Rates AGENDA SECTION: New Business PREPARED BY: Richard Hefti AGENDAITCE. City Engineer/Public Works Director ATTACHMENTS: (1) Resolution AP Y: L The Utility Commission at their December 10, that Council approve the attached resolution sewer rates, charges and deposits for 1991. 1990 me ng establishing recommended water and The main changes in this resolution are reverting back to quarterly charges with a minimum charge for both water and sewer. The water consumption minimum quarterly charge will be based on 0-18,000 gallons and will be $18.00 plus the meter maintenance fee. The sanitary sewer quarterly minimum charge will be based on 0-15,000 gallons and will be $27.75. This minimum charge will effect about 20% of our customers who have been using less than that in the past. The other change is that of how we will be billing sanitary sewer. The sanitary sewer will be based on the actual water consumption for the 1st, 2nd and 4th quarters. The 3rd quarter (June, July & August) will be estimated using the 1st quarters water consumption. This is necessary in order that we bill out the same amount of wastewater that M.W.C.C. is charging us to treat. The Capital charges are increased based on 4% increase in the Engineering News Record Index.
