Approve Staff Attendance to 1990 International Public Works Congress
This item consist of Council approving my request to attend the 1990
International Public Works Congress Equipment show in St. Louis, Missouri
from September 8 through September 13 . The International Public Works
Congress provides the opportunity to mingle with Public Works Officials
throughout the Country. There are many excellent technical sessions along
with an equipment show that has literally hundreds of exhibits which you can
get a first hand view of all the product lines for the public works field.
I would estimate the cost to be about $1, 300. Out of this $1,300, $185. 00
would be registration fee which I budgeted for under 101-43100-01-437 . I
have $1, 300 left in this categary. The remaining cost of about $1,100 would
be considered travel expenses such as lodging, meals, and travel. I have
$1, 990 remaining in 101-43100-01-331 to cover these estimated expenses.
Recommended action for Council to take would be to approve the Public Works
Directors attendance at the 1990 International Public Works Congress and
Equipment 8how in St. Louis, Missouri from September 8 through September
13th.
