BOX 124, ROSEMOUNT, MINNESOTA 55068 JUNE 11 , 1990 GREETINGS TO ALL, The 1990 Rosemount Leprechaun Days Committee is requesting that certain City streets be closed for short periods of time during events. Most of the closings are the same as in past years. A simple motion is needed to approve the temporary street closings as listed in the attached memo. The attached memo includes street closings, where traffic control is needed and other information. The Committee would like to announce the donation to the City of several items that are needed by Leprechaun Days and also become items that are of a benefit to the City in general. These items were purchased by the Committee from donations that we have received. 1 . Professional sound equipment, bought with funds from Koch Refining Company. A formal presentation will be made at a later date. This includes a small trailer for transportation and storage. 2. Portable sound equipment, battery operated, used at outside events. Used by Park & Rec groups during the year. 3. Large chest type freezer. The Committee uses a freezer to keep ice cream,pop, and ice during Leprechaun Days. The Park & Rec summer crew would use it to keep ice in during the year. 4. Signs and Banners for the "Run for the Gold" race. These "START-FTNISH" banners and turn around signs are used at a City operated race. A part of the area' s Ground Pounders Race. 5. Plastic tarp canopies. These metal framed tarp canopies make good sun shades in the parks during Leprechaun Days. These will be available for other City functions. These donated items can be used jointly by the Leprechaun Days Committee and the City. These donations are valued at over $ 7000. I will be at the June 19th Council Meeting with a update on Leprechaun Days and to answer any questions that you may have. Thank you for your help with Leprechaun Days.
