This item consists of approving the hiring of Eric Day to fill the
Mechanic Level I position that we recently advertised for. Mr. Day
was one of six qualified candidates Mike Widstrom, Dean Sandstrom,
and I interviewed on August 24 , 1990. The six candidates were chosen
from a field of over 40 appiicants.
I would recommend that Mr. Day start at Step A ($8 . 01/hr) , which is
the entry level wage, and that he be considered for Step B ($8 .�)
upon successful completion of his six (6) month probationary period.
He would then be eligible for moving into the next step at an annual
basis. Mr. Day has completed his pre-employment physical and passed
it successfully.
