A�prove Plans & Specs Chippendale Avenue Street Improvements and 160th
Street Watermain City Contract 1990-3
This item consist of approving the attached resolution that approves the
plans and specifications and sets a bid opening date for the Chippendale
Avenue Street Improvements and 160th Street Watermain Improvements. Because
the plans and specifications are rather bulky, they are not attached with
Couneils packet. However, should any of the Council desire to look at the
plans prior to the Council meeting we do have a copy that can be viewed at
City Hall. The bid opening date that would fit into our schedule would be
to open `bids on August 10, 1990 at 10: 00 a.m. We would propose to award the
bid at the August 21, 1990 meeting.
Recommended action for Council to consider would be to approve the attached
resolution approving the plans and specifications and authorizing a bid
opening date for Contract 1990-3, Chippendale Avenue Street Improvements and
160th Street Watermain for Friday, August 10, 1990 at 10: 00 a.m.

A RESOLIITION APPROVING THE PLANS AND SFECIFICATZONS
AND AIITHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT OF BIDS
CHIPPENDALE AVENUE STREET IMPROVEMENTS AND
160TH STREET AATERMAIN
CITY CONTRACT 1990 - 3
WHEREA3, the Consulting Engineers for the City have prepared
final plans and specifications for Chippendale Avenue Street
Improvements, Project #191 and 160th Street Watermain, Project #
213 , and such plans and specifications have been presented to
this Council for approval:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council �of the City
of Rosemount, Minnesota:
l. Such plans and specifications are hereby approved and
ordered placed on file in the office of the City Clerk.
2 . The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the
official City newspaper and in the Construction Bulletin an
advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvements
under such approved plans and specifications for City
Contract 1990 - 3 .
3 . The advertisement shall be published in each of said
publications at least once not less than three (3) weeks
before the date set for opening bids, shall specify the work
to be done, shall state that bids will be publicly opened on
August 10, 1990 at 10: 00 o'clock a. m. at Rosemount City
Hall in said City and that no bids will be considered unless
sealed and filed with the City C1erk and accompanied by a
cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check
payable to the City Clerk for five (5%) percent of the
amount of such bid. '
