Approve Chanae Order #1 to Contract 1989-5 Shannon Parkway Utility and
Street Smprovements
This item consist of approving the attached Change Order for this project.
Change Order �1 consist of adding sodding and filter blankets to the contract
prices for restoration and deleting seeding from the contract documents. The
purpose of this is ta improve erosion control. We have experienced problems
with the soils in this area, for example Shannon Oaks Addition to the north,
and therefore are recommending that to use sodding and the filter blanket to
control potential erosion. These cost are eligible for State Aid
participation and we will proeess, upon Council approval, the necessary
paperwork to get them approved for State Aid participation. A portion of
these cost will be included with the residential equivalent calculations and
assessed accordingly.
Recommended action for Council to consider is to approve Change Order #1 to
Contract 1989-5, Shannon Parkway Utilities and Street Improvements and
authorize the Mayor to sign the doeuments.
