PROPOSED AMEIdDMENT, ORDINANCE B - ZONING ORDINANCE
�� WFIOiK IT MAY CONCERN:
�T��I�� IS HEARBY GIVEN, that the City Council of the City of
Ro�emount will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, March 20, 1990,
in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 2875 145th Street West,
begin�ing at 8:00 p.m. The purpose of this hearing is to consider
�:� amendment to Ordinance B - Zoning Ordinance, affecting Section
10 (Signs) . The proposed amendment represents a complete revision
c� the existing sign provisions and would completely replace the
curr�nt sign provisions . The proposed Section 10 includes the
�ollowing sub-sections : Section 10 . 1, Purpose, Definitions,
Ger.eral P�ovisions; Section 10 .2, Permitted Signs; Section 10 . 3,
Permittir.g Procedures and Ordinance Compliance Requirements . The
main purpose of the Sign Provisions to provide controls for size,
h�ight and locatior� of signs within the City remains the same. The
praposed Section 10 includes much more detailed information
re.��rding definitions of ditferent types of signs . Also, the
propased sign provisions contain more specific provisons for signs
allowed in a11 zoning districts as well as more detailed standards
for si�r.s allowed in specific districts (i.e. advertising signs in
th� Commercial Districts) . :.'he proposed ordinance amendment also
includes provisions relating to the use of temporary means of
�dvertising such as portable signs and the use of ribbons, banners,
p�n::�nts, etc.
Copies of the proposed City of Rosemount Zoning Ordinance Amendment
a��ectir.g Section 10 (Signs ) are available for review at City Hall,
we��days, during business hours, 7 :30 a.m. - 4 : 00 p.m. Any
questions r�garding the proposed Zoning Ordinance A.-nendment may be
a�r�cted to the City of Rosemount, Community Development
D�p�rtment, ph.# 423-4411 .
