RE� Cnnnemara Park Development Project ( Park Project # 90 - 2 )
An adjustment in the CIP accounts was authorized by the Council some
time ago within the Parks Department funding . The result 'was that a
total of �13 ,500 was allocated from various cuts in other CIP funds
for the further development and purchases relating to Connemara Park .
The fundin� projects identified as support for the change in funding
were:
Installing curb and gutter in parking lot / Paving the parking lot 1
Adding a driUeway on the northwest / Adding playground equipment /
Installing a slab under the shelter / Adding a handicapped sidewalk /
Installing pine board wall around sand in playground area
Authorization was received from the City Administratar to advertise for
quotes for the curb and gutter in the parking lot , the cement slab
under the shelter , the driveway ( except for the paving ) , and the
handicapped sidewalk from the parking lot to the shelter . The curb and
gutter portion was requested as an alternate quote .
The following is the list of quotes received:

5taff estimates for the project were �b ,700 for the cement slab and
$2 ,700 for the driveway and curb and gutter . The total was �9 ,400.00 .
Because the prices are very good and the projects are needed for the
park upgrade we are asking the Council to autharize us to move ahead
with the contracting and the construction of the items listed .
Council action requested is to award the contract for the driveway
installation (except for the paving ), the handicapped sidewalk, and the
shelter slab to Curb Masters Inc. for the amount of �9 ,180.00. The
funds are to come from Parks CZP accounts.
The CIP funds to be used are:
#28 ( 533 ) �4 ,000 / #56 ( 584 ) �5 ,000 / #14 ( 530 ) �180 .00 ($9 ,180.00 )

RE= Erickson Park Curb & Gutter ( Park Project #90-1 }
Erosion control of the Erickson Park parking lot had been addressed in
the budgeting process over the past Years . Funding was listed in
account # 46 C #537 ) of the 1990 CIP fnr curb and gutter along the west
and southwest areas of that parking lot .
Authorization to obtain quotes was given by the City Administrator in
conjunction with the request for quotes relating to the Connemara Park
project ( Park Project 90 - 2 ) .
Quote responses were received from.

MN 5tate Curb & Gutter didn 't bid this project
Curb Masters Inc. 3 ,900 .00
Parks Department staff will be completin� work in the areas of the
storm sewer , preliminary and final gradin9 , paving of a l0 ° mat , and
sodding af damaged areas . Those costs are estimated at �7 ,404 .00 .
Council action requested is for a motion to award the curb and gutter
work to Curb Masters Inc. for the amount of �3,900.001 and to authorize
the expenditures of the Parks Department staff for the associated work
in the amount of $7 ,404.00. Funds are to come from the 1990 CIP account
# 46 { #537).
Staffi estimates for the contracted portion of the prnject was �3 ,600 .
