Receive Bids/Award Contract Chippendale Avenuef 160th Street West
Watermain Extension City Contract 1990-3
On Friday, August 10, 1990 we received six bids for this project. The low
bid was submitted by Richard Knutson, Inc. at $307,860. The engineers
estimate was $322, 143. 30. Attached to this memo is a tabulation of the six
bids received and comparisons with the feasibility report and engineers
estimate. Because Richard Knutson, Inc. appears to be the lowest
responsible bidder, Staff will be recommending Council award the Contract
1990-3 to them in the amount of $307,860 and authorize the Mayor and City
Clerk to :.ign the documents.

RESOLUTION 1990 -
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AAARDING CONTRACT
FOR CHIPPENDALE AVENIIE/160T8 STREET WEST
�PATERM�IN EBTENSION
CITY CONTRACT 1998-3
BE IT RE30LVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. Al1 bids on construction of Chippendale Avenue/160th
Street West Watermain Extension are hereby received and
tabulated.
2 . The bid of Richard Knutson, Inc. , in the amaunt of
$307,860.00 for the construction of said improvements in
accordance with the plans and specifications and
advertisement for bids is the lowest responsible bid and
shall be and hereby is accepted.
3 . The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to enter into a contract with said bidder for the
construction of said improvements for and on behalf of
the City of Rosemount.
4. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with
their bids, except that the deposit of all successful
bidder and the next two lowest bidders shall be retained
until a contract has been executed.
ADOPTED this 21st day of August, 1990.
