Receive Costs/Order Preparation of Assessment Roll West Ridae 3rd
Addition, City Pro�ect 195
This item consist of receiving the total project cost for public
improvements within the West Ridge 3rd Addition, City Project 195 and
ordering Staff to prepare the assessment roll far this project.
Attached is a copy of the cost breakdown including construction and all
associated overhead cost. Dividing this by the 41 platted lots results in
an assessment per lot of $10,451.03 . The feasibility report estimate per
lot was $11, 073 . Upon Staffs completion of the assessment roll we will
bring it back to Council for setting an assessment hearing date.
Recommended action for Council to consider is to adopt the attached
resolution receiving cost and ordering preparation of assessment rolls for
West Ridge 3rd Addition Improvements, City Project 195.

A RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND
ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT
WEST RIDGE 3RD ADDITION STREBT & UTILITY
IMPROPEMENTS
CITY PROJECT #195
WHEREAS, a contract has been let for West Ridge 3rd Addition Street
& Utility Improvements and the contract price for such improvement
is $327, 395. 08 and the expenses incurred or to be incurred in the
making of such improvement amount to $143,487.28 so that the total
cost of the improvement will be $470,882 .36.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Rosemount
Minnesota:
1. The portion of the cost of such improvement to be paid by the
City is hereby declared to be $42, 390.12, and the portion of
the cost to be assessed against benefited property owners is
declared to be $428,492.24.
� 2. The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer shall
� forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed
� for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or
parcel of land within the district affected, without regard
to cash valuation, as provided by law, and she shall file a
copy of such proposed assessment in her office for public
inspection; and
3 . The City Clerk shall, upon the completion of such proposed
assessment, notify the Council thereof.
ADOPTED this 21st day of August, 1990.
