In June of •1989 we received a reque�t �o consider funding tow�rds
the c�st of distribuGing the Rosemount community directorp which
is published each qear in the Citp. This directory includes
information about the city (i.e tax ra�es, services, schools, etc.)
and also includes a directorq of all businesses in the city.
I had budgeted the amount of the request in �nticipation of this
funding for 199Q. A copy of the request, and the boolclet is
included for pour refere�ce and consideration.
My recommendation is to approve the fundi.ng in the amount requested
o� $SOO.OQ.

As you are aware, each year the Chamber produces a city directory in each
Chamber area oontaining facts and information whieh is used to promote
business and residential deve�.opment in Rosemount and the ather Chamber
cities.
The commercial eost o� this directory is approximately $4�000 plus $2lOQq '
for delivery to al.l residents. Blue Cross 6 Blue Shield and Uni�ys are �
each making a eontribution towards the production of this directory. In
addition� we al.so sell adverti,sing. Over the past several years the
cities of Eagan, West St. Paul and Mendota Heights have made contributions
of $S00 to $1�000 towards the cost of distrihution oF the direetnries.
This year we would like to ask the City of Rosemount to consider making a
contribution towards delivery of the Rosemount directories of up to $500.
(Such a request was nc�t made last year because it was anticipated there ,
would be funds left over from the S�ar City process; #�owever� that prvject
remains incomplete. ) IP you wauld consider such a request� we would like
it to be a part of your next yearss budget with payment to the Chamber same
time after the first af the year,
