AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING AN INTERIM ORDINANCE
TEMPORARIGY PROHIBITLNG ISSUANCE OF I
LAND USE APPROVALS AND BUILDING PERMITS �
FOR LANDFILLS AND SIMILAR USES
The City Cauncil of the City of Rosemount, Minnesota ordains as
follows:
�ECTION I. Intent: It is the intent of this ordinance to atlow the
City of Rosemount additional time to complete a more in-depth study
concerning appropriate land use controls for the regulation af laadfills
and similar uses, and in the interim to protect the planning process and
the safety and welfare of the citizens of the cammunity.
SECTIUN ll. Temporary Prohibitioa: Pending the campletion of the I
above referred to study and adoption of appropriate official controls,
no land use approvals or building permits shall be issued for landfills
and similar uses.
SECTION I11. Effective Date: This ordinance shail take effec[ from
and after its passage and publication and shall remain in effect until
the date of the adoption of the official controls contemplated hereunder
or December 31, 1989, whichever occurs first. '.
