Reset Bid Opening Date� Shannon Hills Utilities and Streets, Cit�Pro�ect

Council originally approved the plans and specification by resolution on .�uly 5,
1989 and set a bid opening date of July 28, 1989. We were proceedin� presu�ing
that the developer was also proceeding with his final plat and developmec�t
contract. However, once we found out that was not the case we cancelled the bid
opening until the developer campl�tes his final platting pracess. Counci2 wiil
be considering the final plat and the zoning�at the August 15, 1989 hearing. As
part of the fi.nal plat approval, the developer will be submitting a signed
development contract and the appropriate financial guarantee. Therefore we would
be in a position to reset the bid opening for this project as indieated on Che
attached resolution.
Recommended action for Council to consider is to adopt the a�kached resolution
authorizing re-advertisement of bids and setting the bid date of September 15,
1989 at 10:00 a.m.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZiNG RE-ADVERTISEMENT OF BIDS
SHANNON HIT,LS STREET & UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS
PROJECT #19Q
WHEREAS, the City Gouncil approved the plans and specifications by resolntion on
July 5, 19$9 for Shannon Hills Street & Utility Improvements, Project #19t3, and
WHEREAS, the original bid opening of July 28, 1989 had to be cancelled because
the Developer had not received final p1.at approval or post�d his necessary
financial security.
NOW THEREFQRE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount,
Minnesota:
I. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in fihe official
City newspaper and in the Gonstruction Bulletin an advertisement €or bids upon
the making of such improvements under such approved plans and specifications for
Project /�190.
2. The advertisement shall be published in each of said publications at
least once not less than three {3) weeks before the date set £or opening bids,
shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be pub2icly opened
`�"� on September 15, 1989 at 10:00 o'clock a.m. at Rosemount City Ha11 in said Gity
and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City C1erk
and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check
payable to the City Clerk for five (S9�) pereent of the amount of such bid.
ADOPTED this l.5th day of August, 1989.
