USPCI - ZQNINC� ORDINAN�E AMENDMENT
Attached is a copy of draft language, pertaining to a potential
amendment in the Zoning Ordinance. This language relates to the
establishment of a waste management district, which is specifically
geared towards regulating an industrial containment facility, if permitted.
As yon know, this was put together by representatives from USPCI. We
received it this morning and have no comments to make at this time. A
copy has been forwarded to the city attorney, as well. There is no
action proposed whatsoever at this time. We would be prepared to
discuss it in more detail June 8th, if the Council wishes a brief ineeting
at that time.

Additional zoning ardinance requirements:
1. Definitions:
a. Containment structures means physical structures

liner systems , leachate collection systems and cell
cap sysi:ems designed to cQntain non-hazardous
industrial wastes.
b. Non-hazardous Industrial Waste means those wa�tes
as e ine y ru es o�th M nesota Pollution
Control Agency.
c. Solidification means the process of physical
alteration of waste to accomplish the removal of
free liquids.
2. Section 7 District Development Regulations:
7 .Z Dimentional Standards
a. Add language to establish maximum
building height to be the same as required for
Industrial Park District.
b. t�dd language to establish maximun �ot coverage
in the WM Distr ict to be the same coverage as
allowed in the Industrial Park District.
4 . Section 7 . 2 Supplementary Regulations:
a. Add lanquage concerning structural appearance of
Permitted structures.
b. Add language establishing Dimensional Standards for
Accessory Buildings and Surface Parking to be the
same requirement as for Industrial Park
Districts.
5. Section 8 �arking , Loading and Landscaping :
a. Parking area required establishing the
required spaces per ----- GFA. Could be the s�me as
required for General Industrial Districts.
