RE: Purchases and Pro�ects €or Connemara Park
Continued progress is being made in the develop�ent of Connemara Park.
The irrigation system and park shelter have added ta the general
athletic field landscapfng that was completed.
Riek Cook and his staff have been working hard to landscape out the
pas�ive are� of the park that also serves as a temporary holding pond,
They have completed the base work for an additional parking lot and
have prepared the sight that wi11 serve as the laeati4n of the
playground equipment.
Council action is being requested at this time to authorize funds for
the fol.iowing pro3ects:
I. Fence around pond area and from gond to Connemara Trai1 through
the law portion of the park
II. Backstog for baseball field
IiI. Split rail fence along existing and future parking lot between the
park3ng lot and the aChletic area
IV. Asphalt and curbing af the new portion landscaped for addittonal
parking lot �paee

Funding for projects will come from various general budget accounts of
the Parks & Recreation �?epartment as well as park dedication funding.
Casts €or the fence directlg around the pand area have been reque�ted
of the Utility Department.
Council action is to "authorize purchase of materials and labor
nece�sary to conglete fenee grojecta around ponding area and baseball
area. To a�ard ponding aad base'ba11 fenc� contract to Da&ota Fen�e
Co. for an affiount not tc� �sceed $9.67 Per Ft. or $4,943.04 aad the
backstop for aa a�ount not to e�eceed $3,240.00 for a total af
$ $,183.00."
The second item would be to "award the split rail fence �aterial
purchase to Knox Lu�ber Co. for an amaunt not to ea�eed $47$.00 or
$1.40 per ft."
