SPECIAL MEETING
APRIL 11 , 1989
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the City
Council of the City of Rosemount was duly held on Tuesday, Apri1 11 ,
1989, at 6z30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. .
Mayor Hoke called the meeting to order with Couneilmembers Walsh,
Wippermann and Napper present. Councilmember Oxborough was absent.
Mayor Hoke led the group in the Pledge of Ailegiance.
Staff recommendations and Leprechaun Days activ�.ties were added to the
agenda.
C�uncil discussed the r�quest received from the Rasemoun� Jaycees to
hold 'a pig roast and street dance on July 22, 1989 as a ��rt �f the
Leprechaun Days activities. Councilmember Walsh, as chairpprson for
the Leprechaun Days Cammittee sup�orted the activity. The consensus of
the Council was in favor of the pig roast and street dance based upon
the experience of last year' s even�. Council requested that this
activit be coordinated throu h the Le rechaun Committee.

i Discussion and review of the proposed zoning ordinance was held by
'� Council. See Clerk' s File 1989-10.
Community Development Director Dean Johnson advised that the building
department secretary who has been on a maternit� leave of absence has
submitted her termination notice. Johnson recornmended that the
temporary �mployee, Maryann Stoffel, who has been working in this
position be offered the position at the same salary.
� MOTION by Walsh to approve the hiring of Maryann Stoffel effective
Apri1 17, 1989. SECOND by Wippermann. Ayes: Wa1sh, Wipperrnann, Hoke,
Napper. Nays: 0.
MOTION by Walsh to adjourn. SECOND by Hoke. Ayes: 4. Nays: 0.
