jAn ad was `placed in the Rosemount newspapers for two weeks pertaining
� to an opening that exists on the Parks & Recreation Coromittee. There
f � were four responses to that ad.
! .

� One was from a person who does not live in the City limits, another was
from a person who coulc� only attend meetings on an irregular basis, and
l ,
two were legitimate responses.
! Letters were sent to the candidates inviting them to attend the March
� CommitCee meeting. Mr. Tom Miller did attend the meeting.

i Mr. Miller wa� graduated from the Mankato State University with a
' degree in Parks & Recreation. Over the past years he has taken courses
i
in, and worked in, the area of forestry and animal husbandry. Some of
.his employment experiences were obtained by working at the Minnesota
Zoo in these areas.
; He is presently employed as an eleetrician and lives fn the Winds
Crossing area of Rasemount. In a brief verbal summary of his background
and interests he indicated that he has a deep interest in our parks
i system and would like to become a member of our Parks & Recreation
; Committee.

The Committee did respond favorably by recommending that I contact you
to give support to his apgofntment for a three year term.
