! I have reviewec� information regarding other city' s payments to
� their Mayors and Councilmembers for your information and

! consideration.

� This consisted of gathering information from the Association of
i Metropolitan Municipalities and additionally from our neighboring
I cities.
i
'' We have taken that information and done same basic compaxisons by
t cities in our population range of 2500 to 10,000. We have also
� presented information as to pay ranges and numbers of eities in
those ranges . That information, along with some recommendations
�� I would have regarding changes and' clarifications, is attached.
i If you decide totmake any changes in the payments they would go,.
' into effeCt on January l , 1990. The law requires that your -
' decision to increase salaries would not go into effect until
� after the cauncil takes its seat from an election following your
� decisian to increase the pay.
