RF: Repair/Modification Expenditure Request
Some previously approved safe�y and mechanical modifications have
been on hald until it fit our schedule to take the pumper out of
service. We also wanted to see where the budget wa� at before we
made these "optional" expenditures . With the recettt malfunction
and necessary replacement of the pressure gouernor on pumper
35181 , it would be logical to do all the work at the same time.

Dear John;
Thank you for arranging to have your pumger brought up here last
week. It really helps to be able to ses what would be involved
in installing a relief valve into your Hamerlee pumper. (1ur
quotation is shown below. I have measured the openings for the
Man-Saver Gates and they have been o�dered. We were a�bTe tca
recalibrate the twa dry gauges however the liquid fill�d qauge
must be replaced and I have ordered the replacement g�uqe for �
it. John in looking over the tru�k we also noticed the man3.fold
drain is leaking and is probably in n�ed of a repair kit, I have
quoted that item below. We will contact yau as soan a� the
gates and gauge come in so we can scheadual your truck in for
the work.
To remove your present preasure governor and replace i� with a
new Waterous 3" relief valve with a pilot vaive installed on tMe
pump ogerators panel, including relief and pilot valve drains.

Option; To install relief valve indicating lights at the gump
ranel . $155.QQ
To install � R-515 mani€old drain kit. $125,00
John, T would estimate that it would take us about 3 days to
eomplete the installatian of the relie# valve and the drain kit. `
Please let me know what �ou ae�iae to do as the garts for the
relief valve would have to be ordered from Waterous.
