RE: Signage
Jaycee Sns
As you know, the Jaycee's "Weleome ta Rosemount" signs wi11 be
ready far installation in early August. A couple months ago I
accompanied Kerry Johnson in identifying sites for the four
signs . I then reviewed these locations with Mike Woa.niak so he
coulc cletermine an right-vf-way issues that hacl to be dealt
with. I would like to review these Ioeations wi.th you on Tuesday
. night.
Celebrate Minnesota Signs
As an o€fieial "Celebrate Minnesota" city, we have the
opportunity to order signs that will recognize our community s a
"Celebrate Minnesota" community. They will accompany he green
political signs that are supposed to be at the political
entrances to our cammunity. This brings up another related
issue, that is , we do not have green political signs at our
western entryway on County Road 42 nor our southern entryway on
Highway 3. I`ve asked Rich Hefti to find out how we can get
these installed, to coincide with the ins:tallation of the
Celebrate Minnesota signs . Rieh wzll have some infarmation for
us on this topic Tuesday evening.
Old "Welcome to Rosemount" Signs
As pou know, we currently have "Welcome to Rosemount" signs on
the south end of town near the natural gas site and the north end
of town near the VFW. These signs have fallen into disrepair
and are considered by same to be an eye sore. Do you have any
thaughts on what to do with these signs?
