A rove Chan e prder �1 to Contraet 1988-7 Shannon Parkwa /Gonnemara Trail
This item consist of approving the attached Change order ��`l. The revision that
necessitated this change order resulted from reducing the aggregate base
quantities. The reduction in quantities is because the subgrade strength was
underestimated at the time of plan approval. The reason for the underestimation
was because the soils test indicating the subgrade strength was not availahle to
us when we had to submit these plans to State Aid Office for their approval.
Therefore, to keep on time we were conservative in estimating the subgrade
strengfih in order to get State Aid approvaT and proceed in a timely fashion with
the praject.
Reco�nended action for Council to consider is to approve Ghange Order 4�`I and
suthorize the Aiayor and City Clerk to sign the appropriate documents.
