Order Advertisement for Bids for 0'Leary's Hills 4th Addition,
Contract 1988-5
This item consist of adopting the attached resoltitians whict� allows the City to
advertise for bids for the installati.on of utilities, streets, trails and street
lights for the 0'Leary's Hiils 4th Addition. Council may recall the approving of
plans and specifications for this proposed development on August 2, 198$.
Because the developer could not obtain the necessary financzal guarantee, a
development contract could not be entered into. Without the development contract
we could not process Y.he final plat and thereby placin� a t��lt to this �raject.
Over the course of the winter, the developer has been able to secure the
necessary financial guarantee and if the development contract is approved this
evening, aiong with the final plat, it would be appropriat.e f�r Conncil to
proceed with the next step of the public improvement instal3:ation process, which
is ordering the advertisement for bids and bid opening date.
P.eeommencied action for Gouncil to consider is to adopt the attached resolution
which orders the advertisement for bids and sets the bid opening date for Friday,
April 28, 1989 at 10:00 a.m.

WHEREAS, the developer could not obtain the necessary financial guarantee to
proceed with the advertisement for bids at the above date, but has since obtained
the necessary gvarantee;
NOW THEREFOR� BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemaunt,
Minnesota:
1 . Tfie City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserteci in the official
City newspaper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon
the making of such improvements under such approved plans and specifications for
Project 1�184.
2• The advertisement shall be published in each of said publieations at
least once not less than three weeks before the date set for opening bids, shall
specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be publicly opened on
Aprii 28, 1989 at 10:00 o'clock a.m. at Rosemount City Ha11 in said Gity and that
no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Glerk and
accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check
payable to the City Clerk for five (5%) percent af the amount o£ sueh bid.
ADOPTED this 4th day of April, 1989.
