Approve Plans & Specifications/Order Advertisement for Bids, Gantract 1989 4
Valley Oak Addition Replat, Phase IV
This item eonsist of adopting the attached resolution which approves the plans
and specifications and orders the advertisement for bids for the Valley Oak
Addition Replat, Phase IV Utility and Street eonstruction.
This approval will be subject to Councils closing the public hearing and approval
of the project which occurred earlier iz� the agenda. The reason for having plan
and spec approval on the same agenda is because this project represents a 100%
petitian which does not legally require a public hearing. In additian, the
developer, by submitting such a petition, agrees to pay alI the eost of plan &
spec preparation should for some reason Council not decide ta �o ahead with the
project.
. Recommended action for Gouncil to consider, subject to previous approval of the
project, is to adopt the attached resolution approving the plans and
specifications and ordering advertisement for bids for a� April 2$, 1989 "bid
opening at 10:00 a.m.

AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEPlENT OF BIDS
VALLEY OAK ADDITION REPLAT, PHASE IV UTILITY & STREET IPiPROVF..�IENTS
PROJECT ��196
WHEREAS, the Consulting Engineers for the City have prepared final �lans and
specifications for Valley Oak Addition Replat, Phase IV Utility & Street
Improvements, Project ��196, and such plans ancl speeifications have been presentecl
to this Council for approval;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Gouncii of tlie Git.y nf Ros�mount,
Atinnesota:
1. Such plans and specifications are hereby approved and ordered placed on
file in the office of the City Clerk.
2. The City Cl.erk sttall prepare and cause to be inserted in the of£icial
City newspaper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon
the making of such improvements under such approved plans and specifications for
-- Project ��196.
3. The advertisement shall be published in each of said put�lications at
least once not less than three weeks before the date set for opening bids, shall
specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be publiely opened on
April 28, 1989 at 10:00 o'clock a.m. at Rosemount City Hall in said City and that
no bids will be considered unless sealed and fiied with the City Glerk and
accompanied by a eash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check
payable to the City Clerk for five (5%} percent of the amount of such bid.
ADOPTED this 4th day of Apri3, 1989.
