Just a few comments on the above referenced subject for
an update.

Attached are: l) a review of events compiled by Ron
Wasmund surrounding the involvement by the city on this matter
and 2) a copy of the article in the St. Paul Pioneer Press
on the events which took place.
On Tuesday Councilmember Napper and Ron Wasmund attended
a County Board meeting to update the County Board on the city's
involvement in this matter. It is my understanding that the
County Board has directed the County Attorney's office to review
the law to find out the county's ability to control activities on
the University property. A report'is to be presented at the
January 5, 1988, board meeting.
The city will have someone present at that meeting.
