Attention: Mr. Stephen Jilk, Administrator/Clerk
Subject: Old City Hall Property Configuration
Delta No. 10-86-054
Dear Steve:
The purpose of this letter is to request that the city of Rosemount examine the
possibility of changing the current property configuration at the old city hall
site. The section of property of concern is the 208 foot-by-208 foot parcel at
the northwest corner (Sketch 1).
Changing the configuration to that shown in Sketch 2, provides the following
beneficial affects:
o The distance between the wells increases from 150 feet to 325 feet;
o The length of the access road to the wells decreases from 380 feet to
240 feet and less road remains on the property of the leasee and
o Possibilities decrease that the supply well, well house or
hydropneumatic tank will interfere with the baseball field.
Once the boundaries of the property are located, the exact position of these
proposed relocations can be determined.
Drilling and testing of the northwest supply well is scheduled to begin January
27, 1988. The second well will be drilled after interpretation of the data
accumulated during testing of the first well and after the configuration of the
property is determined.
I look forward to receiving your response regarding this matter.
Sincerely,

RE: Rural Water Update
I have received notification from Delta Environmental, the
University of Minnesota's consultant, that the University has
given their go ahead to proceed with the project.
At this time final plans and specifications are being drafted,
discussion with the Vo-Tech to insure their service is provided
adequately with the new system and soon test wells will be
drilled at the old city hall site set aside for the system
location.
The University hopes to have contracts signed and construction
commenced this spring (construction season). Yet to come will be
discussion with the University on ownership transfer, liability
of the University after ownership transfer and other issues yet
to be seen.
I will be pleased to discuss this further with you on Tuesday.
