Accept Feasibility_ Report/Order Public Hearing for Shannon Oaks Street
Improvements. City Proiect #185
At the April 5, 1988 meeting the Council accepted a 100% petition from the
owner/developer of the Shannon Oaks subdivision for the installation of public
street through this development. The street is the northerly most portion of
Shannon Parkway which will terminate at County Road 38. Our Consulting Engineers
have completed the feasibility report and I have reviewed it. A copy of the
feasibility report is attached for Councils reference.
Because the feasibility report finds this project is feasible from an engineering
standpoint, I would recommend that Council accept the feasibility report and
order a public hearing for the street improvements within the Shannon Oaks
Subdivision for June 7, 1988 at 8:00 p.m.
Our Consulting Engineer will be available to provide a brief presentation if the
Council so desires.

RESOLUTION 1988 -
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE FEASIBILITY REPORT OF CITY PROJECT
#185, SHANNON OAKS STREET IMPROVEMENTS, AND CALLING FOR
PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City Council deemed it necessary and expedient that the City of
Rosemount, Minnesota, construct certain improvements, to -wit: City Project #185,
Shannon Oaks Street Improvements, in the City as described in and in accordance
with the feasibility report prepared by Short -Elliott -Hendrickson, Inc.,
Consulting Engineers; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has been advised by the Consulting Engineers that said
street improvement project, City Project #185 is feasible and should best be made
as proposed, and the Consulting Engineers' report to this effect has heretofore
been received by Council, and filed with the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the statute provided that no such improvements shall be made until the
Council has held a public hearing on such improvements following mailed notice
and two publications thereof in the official newspaper stating time and place of
the hearing, the general nature of the improvement, the estimated costs thereof,
and the area proposed to be assessed, in accordance with the law.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rosemount that a
public hearing be scheduled to consider City Project /185, Shannon Oaks Street
Improvements to be held on Tuesday, June 7, 1988, at 8:00 o'clock p.m. in the
Council Chambers of City Hall.
ADOPTED this 3rd day of May, 1988.
