SPECIA ETING
MAY 3, 88
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a Special Meeting of the
City Council of the City of Rosemount was duly held on Tuesday,
May 3, 1988, at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City
Hall.
Mayor Hoke called the meeting to order with all members present.
Mayor Hoke opened the public hearing scheduled for 6:30 p.m. to
consider Shannon Hills Preliminary Plat/Concept PUD.
The Administrator/Clerk had in his presence the Affidavit of
Publication and the Affidavit of Mailed and Posted Hearing
Notice. See Clerk's File 1988-13.
Assistant City Planner Michael Wozniak explained the proposal for
this development is for a 190 lot development of single family
homes on 80 acres located north of 145th Street and east of
Shannon Parkway. Wozniak advised that because of the precedent
established over the past three or four years allowing 75 foot
minimum lot frontage under the Planned Unit Development
provisions of the zoning ordinance, the plat contains some 75
foot lots, but these will be offset by an equal or greater number
of lots over 80 feet in width.
Steve Fitterman, developer for the subdivision, and Wayne Tauer,
designer of the project, answered questions from Council.
Ronald E. Pederson, 3511 - 143rd Street West, voiced his
objections to the proposed lots with less than 85 foot frontages
and the proposed parking lot for park access.
