Plans and Specs for Sanita
Parkway, Contract 1988-02
Sewer Extension, Lift Station #4 t o
Our Consulting Engineer has completed the plans and specifications for the
Sanitary Sewer Extension from Lift Station #4 to Shannon Parkway, City Project
181. Council ordered our Consultants to prepare these specifications at the
April 5, 1988 Council meeting.
Our Consultant is recommending that we incorporate this project with the Hawkins
Pond project. I would agree with this recommendation because it would be
beneficial to install the sanitary sewer at the same time to better coordinate
the construction of both projects.
I would also ask Council to authorize the initiation of condemnation action for
the necessary easements along this route should Staff attempt to obtain the
easements be delayed or be denied by any of the property owners. We are not
anticipating any problems, however we do need to establish a deadline that we can
proceed with this construction so that we may coordinate it with the Hawkins Pond
project and the Shannon Hills development project and complete construction yet
this fall.
Staff is not ready to discuss the assessment policy for this project at this
time, but will be for the June 7, 1988 meeting.
