ROSEMOUN T. MINNESOTA 55068 612--423-4411 7 t/ , When the move was made to our new city hall plans were made to purchase new furniture for all department heads utilizing offices. The main purpose was to replace older furniture which was worn out and to attempt to have all of the offices (separate offices) have the same basic style and color of furnishings. The cost of doing that all in 1987 was too much and so the worst equipment was replaced first. In this year's budget funds were allocated to finish this process. We have reviewed our needs for the following offices: 1) Ron Wasmund, Rich Hefti, Dave Bechtold and Sue Johnson 2) Other individual personnel needs for secretary positions and Jeff May for chairs. We have received a price quote from Institutional Sales Inc. of St. Paul for our needs. This is the same company from which we purchased our workstations and all but the lobby furniture for. our city hall. The price proposal includes: 4 New Desks 11 Chairs (5 staff & 5 visitor) 4 Credenza's 1 Work Station Table The desks and credenzas are modular in that the basic frame is supplied and drawer and storage units, portable in nature are added on as the user sees fit. The price quote includes all needed files and storage units included. This price quote is $15,570.50 list and $9,893 net to us. This includes delivery and set up. This purchase would complete the furniture replacement/update program in the offices. I feel the needs will be met satisfactorily and the price is excellent. We have been satisfied with ISI and appreciate their service and reliability. I recommend your approval of the expenditure of an amount not to exceed $9900 for the purchase of these items. The funds are in our 1988 operating budget.
