Approve Plans & Specifications for Chippendale Bituminous Walkway
City Contract 1988-4
Staff has completed the preparations of plans & specifications for the
installation of new bituminous walkway along the west side of Chippendale from
County Road 42 to 155th Street. The estimated cost for this project is $26,400
with 25% of this project being funded out of the 1988 C.I.P. The remaining
portion will be available for Municipal State Aid assistance.
Upon Council approving the plans & specifications, Staff will process the plans
and specifications through the appropriate state aid channels for their
approvals. Pending their approvals, we propose to advertise for bids on
Thursday, June 30, 1988 at 10:30 a.m.
Recommended action for Council to take would be to approve the plans &
specifications for Contract 1988-4, Chippendale Bituminous Walkway Improvements
and authorize a bid opening for Thursday, June 30, 1988 at 10:30 a.m. in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall.

A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT OF BIDS

WHEREAS, the Consulting Engineer did prepare plans and specifications for the
installation of new bituminous walkway along the west side of Chippendale Avenue
from County Road 42 to 155th Street known as Chippendale Bituminous Walkway, City
Contract 1988-4, and presented these plans and specifications to the Rosemount
City Council for approval.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Rosemount
hereby approves the Engineer's final plans and specifications for construction of
Chippendale Bituminous Walkway, and;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Rosemount hereby
authorizes the City Administrator/Clerk to prepare and cause to be inserted in
the official City newspaper and advertisement for bids upon the making of such
improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement
shall be published as required in Minnesota Statutes 429 and shall specify the
work to be completed and shall state the time and place of the opening of these
bids and the time and place that the City Council will consider these bids.
No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City
Administrator/Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond
or certified check payable to the City of Rosemount in the amount if five (5%)
percent of the bid submitted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said plans and specifications be placed on file in
the office of the City Administrator/Clerk.
