RE: Assessment Discussion - Project No. 181
Sanitary Sewer Extension
Staff has met and reviewed the discussion on the assessment
policy for this sanitary sewer extension project. We believe we
have come to a position, based upon the direction you gave us at
our June 7, 1988 meeting.
We would like to present this position to the property owners
prior to presenting to you to get their reaction. We feel the
revised proposal is extremely equitable for property owners. In
some cases the payments for easements will be more than their
cost for the sanitary sewer line itself.
We propose to meet with the property owners next week, June 20 to
June 24. We have advised them of our recommendation to you. We
would then have this item on the agenda for July 5th for your
approval.
