4i. SET PUBLIC HEARING/GRIEF BROTHERS PLANNING COMMISSION APPEAL
In a site plan review by the Planning Commission at their June
21st meeting, a building permit application from Greif Bros.
Corporation for a 15000 square foot addition was denied. This
denial was based on the premise that the appearance of the
proposed metal exterior of the addition was not acceptable. The
preferance of the Planning Commission was that brick and concrete
block be used, comparable to the existing building.
Greif Bros. Corporation has requested an appeal of the denial of
a building permit which requires that a public hearing be held by
the City Council. It is requested that a Public Hearing be set
for August 2, 1988 at 8:00 p.m.
