Receive Bids/Award Contract 1988-4, Chippendale Bituminous Walkway
Staff opened bids for this project on Thursday, July 14, 1988 at 10:30 a.m. I am
attaching the bid tab for your information. Pine Bend Paving is the lowest
responsible bidder at $13,357.43. My estimate for this project was $21,586. The
low bid is 38% under my estimate.
This project is eligible for State Aid funding, which has already been approved
by State Aid Division of MnDOT. Any portion of the cost which may not be
eligible for State Aid funding is budgeted for in the 1988 C.I.P.
Action for Council to consider is to receive the bids and award Contract 1988-4
to the lowest responsible bidder, Pine Bend Paving, in the amount of $13,357.43
and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to sign the Contract Documents.
