Receive Bids/Award Contract 1988-6 for Shannon Oaks Street Improvements
Deputy Clerk Johnson, Consulting Engineer Campbell and myself opened bids for
this project on Friday, August 19, 1988 at 10:30 a.m. As you can see by the bid "
tabulation the bids were very favorable.
The Council approved the final plat at the`August 16, 1988 Council meeting.
However, we have not yet received approval from State Aid. The plans are in the
Central Office and approval should occur shortly. Therefore Staff will be
recommending that the award of contract be subject to State Aid approval.
Recommended action for Council is to receive the bids for City Contract 1988-6,
Shannon Oaks Street Improvements, and award the contract to the lowest
responsible bidder, Bituminous Roadways, Inc., subject to Municipal State Aid -
approval, and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to sign the contract documents.
