Receive Bids/Award Contract for Hawkins Pong and Section 30 Sanitary Sewer
Contract 1988-2
Deputy Clerk Johnson, Consulting Engineer Campbell and myself opened bids for
this project on Friday, August 19, 1988 at 10:06a.m. I am attaching a copy of
the bid results, which you can see are very favorable.
Our City Attorney informed me that there should be no problem beginning work on
this project after September 1, 1988. He indicated that we have all the right -
of -entries for the Hawkins Pond Project and that he should have the remaining
right -of -entries for the Sanitary Sewer Project' ,;by then. If by some chance he
doesn't, the quick take procedure will allow us to enter the property on
September 12, 1988. I don't see this to pose any problems.
Recommended action for Council to consider would be to receive bids and award
Contract 1988-2, Hawkins Pond Drainage Improvements and Section 30 Sanitary Sewer
Extension, to the lowest responsible bidder, Eneb4k Construction Company and
authorize Mayor and City Clerk to sign the contract documents.
