Receive Feasibility Report/Set Public Hearing for Shannon Parkway/Connemara
Trail Impravements, Project �E189
Our Consulting Engineers have completed the feasibility report for the petitioned
street and utility improvements for the extension of Shannon Parkway and
Connemara Trail within the proposed Country Hi11s 3rd Addition. They have found
the project to be feasible and a copy of the report will be distributed at the
meeting for Councils reference. Because the project is feasible it is now
appropriate to set the public hearing date to consider these a.mprovements. Staff
recommends that the public hearing date be set for September 20, 1988 at 8:0�
p.m.
Action for Council to cansider would be to adopt the attaehed resolution which
receives the feasibility report and sets the public hearing on 5eptember Z0, 1988
at 8:00 p.m,

A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE FEASIBILITY REPORT OF CITY PROJECT
4� 189, SHANNON PARKWAY/GONNENIARA TRAIL UTILITY AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS
AND CALLING FQR PUBLIC HEARING TO CORSIDER THE FROJECT
WHEREAS, the City Council deemed it necessary and expedient that tt�e City of
Rosemount, Atinnesota, construct certain improvements, to-wit: City Project �189,
Shannon Parkway/Connemara Trail Utility & Street Improvements, in the City as
described in and in accardance with the feasibility report prepared by Short-
�lliott-Hendrickson, Inc. , Consulting Engineers; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has been advised by the Constxlting Engineers that said
utility & street improvement project, City Project 4i189 is feasible and should
best be made as proposed, and the Consulting Engineers' report to this ef€ect has
heretofore been received by Council, and filed with the Administrator/Clerk on
September 6, 1988; and
WHEREAS, the statute provided that no such improvements shall be made until the
Council has held a public hearing on sucti improvements following mailed notice
and two publications thereof in the official newspaper stating time and place of
the hearing, the general nature of the improvement, the estimated costs thereo£,
and .the area proposed to be assessed, in accordance with tlie iaw.
--- NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City �ouncil of the City of Rosemount that a
public hearing be scheduled to consider City Froject �1189, Shannon
Parkway/Gonnemara Trail Utility & Street Improvements to be helci on Tuesday,
September 20, 1988, at 8:00 o'clock p.m. in the Council Chambexs of City Hall.
