Comprehensive Watez System Plan
. At the November 7, 1988 Utility Gommission meeting the Commission approved and
adopted the Comprehensive Water System Plan prepared by Toltz, King, Duvall,
Anderson and Associates (TKDA), the Consultants commissioned to prepare this
report. A copy of this report. is enclased in your packet for your information.
The Comprehensive Water System Plan reeommends constructing a 1,000 gallon per
minute well and a l million gallon elevated storage reservozr to be able to meet
the zmmediate and future water supply needs of our City.
Based on the recommendations of this plan, the Commission authorized the
preparation af plans and specifications €or a 1,OQQ gallon per minute well EWell
��8) and a l million gallon water tower. It is the Gomtnissic�ns and my hape that
we will be able to get the we11 and tower on line in iate 1989,
Preliminary cost for the storage tank and well are $85Q,000 and $2$5,ppp;
respectively. The Commission also authorized the site seleetion fox the well and
tower and staff is presently working on acquiring those.
