Attached are copies of existing ordinance requirements reiating to "garbage"
collectian. This chapter of the City Code sets the requirements for all
satid wasEe retated issues, including the licensing of haulers. 'the primary
change proposed is to require that haulers dispose of all yard waste at
compost facilities rather than 1�ndfills. This is a requirement of the county
and state legislature.
' In the course of making this change in the code, there were several other
changes necessary to bring this ordinance np to date, particularly the
definitions. The City licenses are anntial and up for renewa! on Jattuary 1,
1989. The Council approved a fee increase, from $25.0� to $50.00 at the
