Order Feasibility Reports for West Ridge 2nd Addition, Shannon Parkway 160th Street to CR42 & 145th to Connemara Trail, & Conemarra Trail - Diamond Path to Shannon Parkway�`S 19 87 0 4 DATE: FEBRUARY 12, 1981 TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL FROM: CITY ENGINEER HEFTI RE: ORDERING THE PREPARATION OF FEASIBILITY REPORTS Staff is recommending that the Council order the feasibility reports for the following projects: 1. Wgst, Ridge. 2nd_Addition-Utilities and Streets r Dean and i have received a petition from the developers for the West Ridge 2nd Addition requesting the preparation of a feasibility report on the extension of utilities and streets to the West Ridge 2nd Addition. I would recommend the Council accept the petition and authorize the preparation of the feasibility report for this development. 2. Shannon Parkwa Street Improvement-160th Street to Vounty,_oad 42 and TromT45th Street o onnemara Trail Dean and I have received considerable interest in the extension of Shannon Parkway south of County Road 42 from the existing developers in the,area and also potential future developers. We feel it would make sense to check into the feasibility report and go through a public hearing regarding this project. This project would provide another important access to the existing development within Section 31, The section of Shannon Parkway northyof 145th Street is something we feel theCityshould look into because U. S. _Homes is preparing to enter into their second phase of the Country Hills Addition this spring with the third phase to follow yet this fall.- This segment of Shannon Parkway would provide an important access to the U. S. Homes subdivision. 3. Connemara Trail Street_ Improvement-Diamond Path to 3Ti`iffi 'n ar way'' This segment of Connemara Trail is tied into the U. S. Homes development and will provide a traffic loop from Apple Valley through the U. S. Homes development and through Rosemount. In summary I recommend that the Council receive the petition for the West Ridge 2nd Addition public improvements and also order a feasibility report along with the feasibility report for Shannon Parkway and Connemara Trail.
